STUDENT SERVICES

HOUSING

 

The school does not maintain housing for students. A list of reliable realtors and rental properties in close proximity to the school will be provided to students that request housing assistance at the time of enrollment.


 

STUDENT RECORDS

 

Student records are permanently retained by the school and are available to students upon individual request. Student records will be provided to potential employers only after a student has made a written request.

STUDENT PLACEMENT

Students will be assisted with placement and will be furnished names and addresses of employment possibilities. Inquiries made to the school from potential employers will be posted on the bulletin board.

The school will assist students with finding employment to the best of its ability but cannot guarantee employment.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Attendance/Class Cuts

 

After five unexcused absences, a student will be counseled by the Chief Administrative Officer and may be placed on probation. Should the student have another unexcused absence while on probation, she or he will be counseled by the Chief Administrative Officer and may be terminated. Class cuts without prior approval from the instructor or Chief Administrative Officer are not permitted and are considered an absence. Every student is given two (2) weeks free of charge after their estimated ending date if they have not completed requirements. After two free weeks, students will be charged a weekly rate until completion. Students must bring written documentation to have the absence excused. 

 

Tardiness

A student arriving after attendance has been taken is considered late and will be marked absent unless the instructor considers the reason for the tardiness legitimate. All class time missed in excess of 15 minutes must be made up by the student prior to graduation.

 

Conduct

Student are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Foul language, possession of no prescribed drugs or alcohol beverages, and disrespectful behavior is considered unsatisfactory conduct and may be grounds for dismissal. A student who conducts himself or herself in a manner detrimental to the school, staff, or other students will be terminated. Theft of property from the school or other students is grounds for immediate dismissal. Due to Covid-19 masks are required to be worn at all times during class, practice of social distancing and hand washing is required.

Makeup Work

Students who have been absent for any reason are required to make up missed classes before proceeding to the next course of study. A student may make up missed time by coming in full-time.

 

Probation

A student that does not adhere to the attendance policy will be placed on probation for 30 days. Should the student be absent while on probation, he or she will be counseled by the Chief Administrative Officer, which may result in termination. Probation periods are not applicable for academic progress.

 

Interruptions in Training/Termination

 

Students will not be terminated for failure to learn the required skills. A student that has not successfully completed the examinations at the end of each program is encouraged to attempt the additional class sessions for extra practice. Students are permitted to re-take the examinations within a reasonable time, as determined by the instructor. If the student fails without a passing grade of 75% a second time, and he/she decides to continue at the school, a diploma may not be awarded.

 

Leaves of Absence

 

A student may be granted a leave of absence for one (1) month or as determined by the Chief Administrative Officer. A request for a leave of absence must be in writing, and the date of expected return must be specified.

If the student does not re-enter within the time specified and has not notified the school, the student’s contract will be terminated, and he/she will be granted a refund according to the terms of the refund policy.  If student has symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID- 19 will be instructed to stay home and receive remote classes and turn in work via zoom. 

 

Re-Entry

A student that has cancelled or has been terminated and desires to re-enter the program of study must notify the school and follow the required admission procedures. A student that has been terminated for any reason must have an interview with the Chief Administrative Officer and show why he/she should be reinstated.
